To prepare for your DiamondGlow® treatment, discontinue retinoids or exfoliating products at least three days prior. Avoid sun exposure as well. On the day of your treatment, ensure you arrive with a clean, makeup-free face (or be prepared for your provider to remove your makeup).
After a DiamondGlow® treatment, proper aftercare is essential to achieve the best results. For the first 3-5 days, avoid skincare products containing retinoids, AHA, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and vitamin C. Steer clear of harsh products and exfoliants for at least 48 hours. For the initial 2 days, avoid hot water, swimming, hot tubs, jacuzzies, steam rooms, yoga, exercise, and activities that might cause irritation or sensitivity. Apply sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30 daily and minimize sun exposure for at least two weeks. Use post-care products as directed and consider switching to a richer face cream immediately after treatment to prevent dryness and flaking. Avoid picking, scratching, or scrubbing flaking skin, and exfoliating your face. Lastly, avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours, and avoid applying tone, powder, or blush for the first three days.
