During a MOXI treatment session, the laser is used to deliver precise energy into the skin. The melanin pigment in the skin absorbs this energy, breaking it down for natural elimination. What To Expect Before a Moxi Laser Treatment
Before treatment, we will evaluate your desired outcomes and goals for your skin. Based on this assessment, we will create a tailored treatment plan for you. Before starting the treatment, we will initiate a therapeutic skincare plan. As part of this plan, we will instruct you to avoid sun exposure and discontinue the use of certain medications and skincare products. This will help maximize your results and kickstart your journey to achieving radiant and youthful skin.
What To Expect During a Moxi Laser Treatment
To ensure a safe and pain-free experience, one of our highly skilled aestheticians at Coachlight will first apply a topical numbing cream and provide protective eyewear to shield your eyes from the laser light. They will then gently pass the laser handpiece over the treatment area, delivering micro-pulses of fractionated laser energy to the skin. You may feel a mild tingling or warmth, and for added comfort, a cold air chiller may be used. The entire treatment usually takes 30 minutes or less, depending on the extent and area being treated.
What To Expect After a Moxi Laser Treatment
After treatment, you may experience some redness, like a mild sunburn, which will subside quickly. Depending on the level of treatment, you may see small micro dots called “mends” where the laser was applied. As the microzones heal, they will darken and feel rough. Between days 3 and 5, the mends will slough off, revealing new skin beneath. It is recommended to wear a moisturizing physical sunscreen and avoid direct sunlight for the first few weeks after treatment. You can wear makeup 24 hours after treatment. We will provide final instructions, answer questions, and go over specific instructions for your post-treatment skincare program.
