When Botox is injected into these facial muscles it relaxes them, allowing the skin that covers these muscles to take on a softer and smoother appearance.

Botox is safe to use in areas across the face, including regions that are considered delicate or sensitive. It can be safely used around the eyes, the brow, the forehead, the chin, and the neck. It can be used to treat a wide variety of common wrinkles, such as:

During your appointment, you may be asked about your skin care regimen and we will examine the areas of your face you wish to have treated. From this examination, we will choose specific areas for Botox® injection.

Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed around the chosen points of injection. The areas of the face being treated with Botox will be marked to identify precisely where the injections will go. The total time for your treatment will usually not exceed 15-30 minutes.

Using a special technique, we will use a syringe to inject the Botox® Cosmetic solution into the muscle. While a topical anesthetic may be available, it is usually not necessary.

Once injected into a specific muscle, Botox® Cosmetic works to temporarily treat frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes, and thick bands in the neck by blocking the chemical signal from the nerve to the muscle that causes wrinkles. This decreases the contraction of the muscle, which causes the overlying fine line or wrinkles to smooth out, giving your skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance.

Because of the ease and simplicity of Botox injections, there is no recovery period required. However, some patients may prefer to take an hour or two after their treatment to lie down and relax. There may be some redness around the injection sites.

It will take some time to see the results of your Botox treatment. After around five days, you should notice some improvement, and these results will continue to improve over the coming days. Botox results typically last for three months before guests need another treatment, and most guests receive treatments three times a year.

A common question we hear from naive/new people to Botox is if the treatment will make them look “frozen”. At Coachlight our goal is to educate our guests about how when Botox is dosed correctly, they receive a result of reduced fine lines & wrinkles, not no movement.

Your Botox dose is adjusted appropriately over the course of time based on your appearance and need to help prevent harsh lines and wrinkles from forming.

For best treatment outcome and longevity, we recommend guests receive a BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment three times a year. Known as The Look of 3 – guests typically get a treatment in the three main areas that include frown lines, crow’s feet lines, and forehead lines in adults and get the FDA-recommended dose of 64 Units for treating these three areas. 

Actual unit dosage will vary from guest to guest and be based on the provider’s recommendation, however, a guest can expect to need approximately 50+ units to treat all three main areas.

Another treatment option that we offer with BOTOX is called a “lip flip”. Rather than using a lip filler, this lip procedure features injections of Botox.

During a lip flip, Botox is injected into the Cupid’s bow area of the upper lip, along with the corners of the upper lip. This relaxes the muscles, which allows more of the upper lip to show, creating more volume. It can also address a gummy smile. The procedure only takes up to 20 minutes to perform.

The results of lip flip injections last for eight to twelve weeks; after this time, patients can return for maintenance treatments.

If it’s right for you, The Look of 3 is an opportunity to be treated in 3 areas, with 64 Units, at least 3 times a year. The result? You’ll look like yourself but with noticeably smoother-looking lines.
